The Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts, President and Members, announced the election of
Robert Russell, as an Honorary Member, elected at the Assembly meeting held on 14th October, 2025.

At the Olivier Cornet Gallery, we’ve had the privilege of exhibiting Robert’s work at the gallery on a couple of occasions: as part of our 2018 Bloomsday group show
Drawing on Joyce and more recently, in 2023, in ‘Safe Harbour’, in collaboration with his life partner the artist
Nickie Hayden.
Olivier also commissioned Robert to create a series of
photo-intaglio prints based on the work of photographer François Bost for the critically-acclaimed show
Chiens Bleus, Chiens Gris with the artist LEYHO.

renowned poet and broadcaster Theo Dorgan and
pioneering artist and printmaker Margaret Irwin West who have been elected as Honory Members at the same time as Robert.
