Temporary closure of the Olivier Cornet Gallery due to Coronavirus / Covid-19

Sunday 15 March 2020

Dear Patrons and supporters

"Community engagement and cultural advocacy are the terms that describe the currency of the progressive commercial gallery. Olivier Cornet is an integral part of this new wave".
'The French new wave, Gerry Walker welcomes an alternative to the conventions of gallery management in the work of Olivier Cornet', Irish Arts Review magazine, Summer edition, June-August 2016.

Well it is time for us to support communities and social distancing. Therefore the Olivier Cornet Gallery will be temporarily closed to the public from tomorrow Monday 16 March until further notice.

UPDATE 17 May 2020: We are planning to reopen the gallery on June 8 subject to the implementation of phase 2 of the Irish government's plan to reopen certain "non essential" businesses. Details to follow soon. Our own plan would be to reopen by appointment only until phase 3. We would require all visitors to wear facial protection at all times while in our space.

Please help small businesses -and that includes our independent gallery and our artists- survive this difficult period by buying gift vouchers and/or in our case join our CAIRDE scheme:

Watch out for more virtual exhibitions and presentations until we reopen: For instance our online show One Artist, One Work, One Day on social media, followed by Susanna Wawra's SITZFLEISCH which will run online in our new 3D virtual space from 18 May to 12 June. We are reachable by email and phone should you have any queries or should you want to purchase any work.
