François Bost (1881-1970), Olivier Cornet’s great-granduncle was a photographer by profession. He was enlisted in the Photographic Section of the French Army during WW1. He ‘followed’ the Battle of the Somme.

In the context of an art exhibition in his gallery (LEYHO's Chiens Bleus, Chiens Gri), gallerist Olivier Cornet commissioned Robert Russell, artist and director of the Graphic Studio Dublin, to create 3 photo intaglios (edition of 25 each) from a selection of his relative’s photographs. These prints were produced on a traditional etching press. This one, titled 'François Bost, Collection I', is now part of prestigious collections such as the OPW State Art Collection, the National Museum of Ireland, The Contemporary Irish Art Society & The Irish Air Corps Museum in Baldonnel.
